Odoo proposes an advanced configurator to support the product variant selection but limits this feature to only sales orders.
CLUEDOO'S FUNCTION
Cluedoo extends the configurator functionality beyond sales orders, making it available for any type of orders, including manufacturing orders and purchase orders.
This module serves two primary purposes:
The production manager gains the ability to utilize the configurator to manually generate a manufacturing order based on the product template.
In scenarios where the route is MTO (Make to Order) and the configurator is employed on the sales order line, the associated manufacturing order inherits all the selections made on the corresponding sales order line.
1. Go to Manufacturing → Operations → Manufacture Orders. Create a new manufacturing order, choose a product, and configure the product. Note: product must have BoM |  |
