ODOO'S FUNCTION
In Odoo, vendor pricelists are not sorted systematically when multiple suppliers are listed for the same product. The system does not prioritize suppliers based on validity dates or pricing, which can lead to inefficiencies when selecting the most appropriate vendor.
CLUEDOO'S FUNCTION
CLuedoo improves vendor pricelist management with smart sorting by validity dates and pricing, ensuring the best suppliers appear first:
1️⃣ Validity Priority – Suppliers with active Start/End Dates come first, regardless of price.
2️⃣ Sort vendor pricelist by discounted price – Among valid suppliers, prices are sorted ascendingly so the most cost-effective option appears first.
1. Go to Products > New to create a new product or choose an existing one > Under Purchase tab, fill in the vendor pricelist If there are valid Start Date and End Date, even when the Price is higher > The supplier with the valid dates should be placed first |  |
If all the suppliers have valid Start Date and End Date > The supplier with the lower price will be placed first |  |
2. When a Discount (%) is defined, vendors are automatically sorted by their discounted price - the supplier offering the lowest discounted price will appear first. |  |
3. A server action "Recompute Supplier Sequence" has also been added to re-sort the vendor pricelist, which is useful for clients who already had vendor pricelist records before installing the module. |  |
