ODOO'S FUNCTION
In Odoo, when only part of a Sales Order is delivered or received, the Quantity field is automatically updated to match the Delivered or Received amount. However, Odoo does not keep track of the original quantity that was initially ordered. Once delivery happens, the original value is overwritten, and there’s no separate field to refer back to it.
CLUEDOO'S FUNCTION
CLuedo provides a module to keep full visibility of sale order changes.
1️⃣ A new field, Original Quantity, is added to store the initial ordered amount.
2️⃣ The existing Quantity field continues to update based on what was actually Delivered or Received.
This way, users can always see:
- What was originally ordered
- What was actually delivered or received
It ensures transparency and makes tracking changes easier, especially when partial deliveries are accepted as final.
1. Create a Sales Order, fill in the Product and the Quantity > Confirm > The Original Quantity will be automatically updated |  |
2. Click on Transfers > Fill in the Quantity you want to deliver > Validate > Create Backorder |  |
3. Go back to the Sales Order > You will see the Quantity and Delivered fields have been updated, while the Original Quantity field stays the same, helping you to keep track of the initial ordered quantity |  |
4. If the Delivered quantity is more than the Original Quantity > The Quantity field will also be updated accordingly |  |
