ODOO'S FUNCTION
Odoo provides a great tool for on-the-fly creation of any object (supplier, customer, product, etc.), but it can be very dangerous in the hands of the end-user. Databases get messy quickly because it's easier for people to create than to search the partner/product.
CLUEDOO'S FUNCTION
CLuedoo add a technical access right on this feature to only allow advanced users to use it, and strongly limits on-the-fly creation, thus also mitigating the risk of making mistakes.
Access the 'Settings' module and make sure Developer Mode is enabled. |  |
Access 'Users & Companies' menu and click on 'Users'. |  |
Check the “Allow Create and Edit” option to grant users permission to create and edit records. For now, let’s keep it unchecked. |  |
For users who don’t have access to Create and Edit, the corresponding options in many2one fields will also be disabled, meaning they won’t be able to create or modify records from those fields. |  |
