ODOO'S FUNCTION
Odoo allows tracking serial numbers for products but does not provide an automated way to manage warranty durations for both sales and repair processes. Users have to manually track the guarantee period, which can lead to inconsistencies and inefficiencies.
CLUEDOO'S FUNCTION
With this module, users can set warranty durations for both sales and repair products. When a product is sold or repaired, the system automatically calculates and updates the warranty period based on predefined settings. This ensures accurate tracking of guarantee durations and minimizes manual work.
1. Before test the module, Set duration warranty for sales and repair on product. |  |
2. Go to Inventory tab and set tracking by Lot/Serial Number. |  |
3. Create sale order and add product that warranty duration already set |  |
4. Check Delivery out and make it done. The Sales Warranty will take from the delivery out. The duration is taken from product category if in the product template there's no sales/repair warranty. |  |
5. Check Serial Number that used. |  |
6. Create Repair Order,
choose the SO, return and the SN
and end it |  |
7. Check Delivery Out of the repair order that already created. |  |
Note that in v19, from done delivery out > Return > Validate the return transfer > Create Repair > Fill product to repair and its variant, scheduled date (if needed) then Confirm Repair > Start Repair > End Repair |   |
8. Check Serial Number guarantee duration that automated compute. |  |
