ODOO'S FUNCTION
Odoo forbids overlapping leaves. If an employee's leave request spans over a created leave, they cannot submit a single request. They are required to manually split their time off into two separate, unlinked leave requests, one for the period before and one for the period after.
CLUEDOO'S FUNCTION
Cluedoo enhances the leave management process by introducing:
1️⃣ The option to submit a single request that includes overlapping leaves (like public holidays...).
2️⃣ Automatic splitting of the single request into several, linked requests around the overlapping period.
3️⃣ The ability for managers to validate all linked requests in one go.
This allows for a much easier leave request process for both the employee (who only makes one request) and the manager. It provides comprehensive visibility, enabling the manager to promptly recognize the full context of the leave (e.g., a full week off with a holiday in between) and validate all linked requests at once.
1. Create a new Time Off which overlaps a created Time-off. A warning appears > Close |  |
2. After we save, it automatically splits the Time Off request, one for the period before and one for the period after. |  |
3. Manager can Approve/Validate each leave request individually or approve all linked requests at once. |  |
