CLUEDOO'S FUNCTIONS
Cluedoo allows the possibility for any routing operation to create a work order or not.
COMPARISON: ODOO AND CLUEDOO
Odoo: Every operation in the routing automatically generates a work order, regardless of its importance or need for tracking. This can overload the system with unnecessary work orders and reduce usability for production teams.
Cluedoo: Adds a checkbox on each routing operation to disable work order generation when not needed. This allows manufacturers to define a full production process for costing purposes, while only generating work orders for critical or trackable operations, improving both system clarity and workshop efficiency.
BUSINESS CASE
Cluedoo emphasizes the importance of comprehensive definition in routing operations, encompassing all the necessary steps. This approach enables accurate product definition and precise cost calculation, covering every aspect of the manufacturing process.
However, the production manager retains the authority to determine the organization of the workshop. Consequently, they decide which operations will be tracked through work orders and which ones will not be monitored.

Creating Manufacturing Orders Without Work Orders
HOW TO USE THIS MODULE

Within the Operations section, there is a "No Work Order" checkbox. When selected, the associated work order will not be displayed in the manufacturing order.

Now we use the Manual Assembly operation (that has no work order) in the BoM of a product (in this example, a Table Top).

Then, when we create a manufacturing order for a Table Top, the operation that has no work order won't appear.
Note:
- If you select checkbox for all operations, the validation error will display:" Need at least 1 Work Center Operation with Work Order "
- You cannot use the 'Apply on Variant' functionality and simultaneously create a BoM for a specific variant. If you do it, the validation error will display:" You cannot use the 'Apply on Variant' functionality and simultaneously create a BoM for a specific variant"
