STORY BEHIND THE FEATURE

ODOO BEHAVIOR

Odoo's standard Manufacturing (MRP) module doesn't provide detailed cost breakdowns in the Stock Valuation under the Manufacturing field.

CLUEDOO BEHAVIOR

The Cluedoo MRP Cost Calculation module enhances Odoo’s manufacturing cost tracking by introducing precise, automated cost calculations for Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) in Stock Valuation.

MODULE +
Odoo's limitation makes it challenging for businesses to get a comprehensive understanding of their manufacturing expenses within the stock valuation, leading to less accurate cost control and profitability analysis.

Together with module fal_mrp_manufacturing_cost, Cludedoo's enhancement provides a detailed and clear view of all the expenses related to manufacturing, helping businesses accurately calculate their production costs. By integrating these detailed costs into the valuation layer, Cluedoo's feature ensures that companies can manage their manufacturing processes more efficiently, with better insights into cost allocation, and make more informed decisions for optimizing profitability.

HOW TO USE THIS MODULE

FORMULA

1. MRP's Component Cost

MRP’s Components Cost = Unit cost of each component × Quantity consumed

Example: If the unit cost of "sub mto mo" is 20.00 USD and the quantity consumed is 1.00, then MRP’s Components Cost = 20.00×1 = 20.00 USD

2. MRP's Operations Cost:

MRP’s Operations Cost = Work center cost per hour × Duration (in hours)

Example: If the work center cost is 60 USD/hour and the duration is 0.1094 hours (6 minutes 34 seconds equals 0.1094 hours), then MRP’s Operations Cost=60×0.1094≈6.57 USD

3. MRP's Subcontract Cost:

MRP’s Subcontract Cost=Total cost of subcontracted operations (if any)= The produced quantity in the subcontract x vendor's cost

Example: If the quantity produced is 5.00 units, the vendor's price is 8.00 USD,  then MRP’s Subcontract Cost =5.00 x 8.00 = 40 USD

4. MRP's Cost:

MRP’s Cost = Components Cost + Operations Cost + Subcontract Cost

Example: Using the values above, MRP’s Cost=20.00+6.57+0.00=26.57 USD

5. MRP's Unit Cost:

MRP’s Unit Cost = MRP’s Cost/Quantity produced

Example: If the quantity produced is 1.00 unit, then MRP’s Unit Cost = 26.57/1.00 = 26.57 USD
