ODOO'S FUNCTION
Odoo allows you to define product attributes for variants. Still, there is no standard feature to manage independent product parameters (technical or functional characteristics) that are not part of variant creation.
CLUEDOO'S FUNCTION
CLuedoo introduces enhancements to the product form with the following features
1️⃣ Dedicated Product Parameter Tab
A new tab is added to the product form, allowing users to define and manage custom parameters independently from standard product attributes.
2️⃣ Chatter and Activity Logging
The Product Parameter menu includes chatter and activity tracking, enabling better communication and traceability for parameter updates.
This is useful for documenting technical specifications, certifications, or other internal product data.
1. On Inventory → Configuration, we can set the Product Target Parameter Type by setting the Code and selecting the Value Type. It provides Text, Number, Boolean, Selection, Required Field Check, and Matching Field Value as value types. |   |
2. On the product form, we can set the Product Parameter, select the target parameter type and the value |  |
3. Product Parameter can be accessed directly from the menu |  |
4. It also includes a chatter for communication and activities logging |  |
You can also set Product Parameter in Product Category, and it will applies to the products inside this category. |  |
